Our Nauvoo Missionary Teamsters

They come to Nauvoo with smiles on their faces, a special set of skills, and ready to work. And work they do…..from early morning ‘til late in the evening. They are missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

The special set of skills these missionaries have? Their ability to care for and work with horses. In Nauvoo, they are affectionately called “The Teamsters.”

We had the privilege of doing portrait sessions for several teamsters and their wives during the last few years. These special people have completed their mission and returned home. We love them all.

Here are a few of the happy faces and sweet people we got to know. (And yes….the horses are still giving wagon rides in Nauvoo!)
